Statewide Interlibrary Loan Van Delivery Service is a voluntary service where participating libraries use a courier to deliver library books and materials to facilitate interlibrary lending and borrowing throughout the State of Maine. This program is administered by the Maine State Library and funded by the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) through the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
To request an item through ILL, please visit on the link for Minerva, our online catalog. Requesting items through Minerva or MaineCat is free of charge.
Our goal is to provide you with fast, free loans from nearby libraries. If we do not find available copies in the state, we are able to search farther afield using the CLIO system, as long as there is a record for the item in WorldCat. The fee for this service is $5. For further information on CLIO, please stop by the Rice Building.
