Come join us for our annual Holly Jolly Trolley event!  This is a *one-night* event.  The trolley runs every 15 minutes, please call or e-mail to register for a scheduled spot for your family.  Families can carol with our conductor aboard the trolley--it is a short, but very sweet ride around our neighborhood in Kittery.  

Everyone is welcome to delicious hot cocoa and Christmas goodies before and after the trolley rides--we will also have a fun craft for all.  We make the Rice Building dazzle for this wonderful holiday season.  Come join us!

Artisits worldwide respond to the climate crisis.  This slideshow immerses the audience in a guided multimedia tour of global artistic responses to the climate crisis.  It includes everything from elegiac classical music to jarring yet beautiful avant-garde film.  The presentation includes a section on his own climate-conscious artwork that incorporates a reading from a hand-bound booklet (available for sale), titled "Meditations in the Dark".

Learn how to fine-tune your social media presence: creating effective and engaging content, networking with other professionals, and promoting your business across different platforms. This session is for users who are familiar with the nuts and bolts of a Facebook business page.
 
 
This class is run through Kittery Adult Ed. It is $12 to attend.

"Metamorphosis" featuring Poet Cynthia Knorr.  
Cynthia Knorr's poems have appeared or are forthcoming in AdannaThe AuroreanCafe Review, Shot Glass JournalHealing Muse, and other literary journals. She was awarded First Prize in both the New Hampshire Poetry Society's national and members' contests. A Vessel of Furious Resolve is her first book.

The evening begins with refreshments and conversation at 6pm.
The readings will begin at 6:30pm.
This event, upstairs in the Rice building, is free and open to the public.
A book signing will follow the show.

For over 30 years, the Friends of the Rice Public Library have been advocating for and supporting our town library. Friends also raise funds to supplement the library budget. Some Friends are active members year round, while others choose to serve on a committee, volunteer at the Library, or participate at specific events.
